When you think of a tropical paradise in the Philippines, you think of Palawan. And one of the gems of Palawan is Coron, a great base for exploring the Calamian Islands and reaching the whitest and finest sand beaches, most stunning karst formations, and cleanest lakes in the country. If you’re looking to quickly plan your trip, here are our best recommendations on where to stay in Coron.
Where to stay in Coron – our top 5 picks!
If you want to stay near Coron town center, the Bay Area is one of the best hotels in the area. The hotel is relatively new and modern, right in the center of the town and close to the restaurants and bars. You’ll also get to enjoy great views of the sea, spacious rooms, and friendly staff.
This one is for the nature-loving introvert. If you’re going to Coron to unwind, relax, escape the crowds, and have a digital detox, La Natura is your perfect home. The resort is surrounded by a jungle and pretty much secluded from the rest of the bustling Coron town. You don’t have to live like a hermit, though (unless you want to) – the resort can help you arrange diving lessons and island excursions.
If you love waking up to comfort, luxury and an amazing breakfast buffet, Coron Soleil Garden Resort is a great option. They have really great rooms and resort facilities, and the staff sure knows how to treat and pamper their guests.
For an Instagram-worthy stay, check out the Funny Lion, one of the newer resorts in Coron town. With its own pool, restaurant, and bar, there’s plenty for you to do when you get home from a fun day in the islands. The view from the roof deck is a pretty amazing way to end the day, too!
Two Seasons Coron Bayside Hotel
The Two Seasons brand doesn’t disappoint and while this is technically their mid-range offering in Coron (the Bayside Hotel is in Coron town, while the high-end Island Resort and Spa is in its own exclusive island), they’ll have you feeling like royalty just the same! Everything is great – the rooms, the food, the service… And just check out that pool. Amazing.
